HI all. Tjought I'd post this so as I could get some suggestions etc.
It is based on a local postcard shot (from my head, not meant to be an exact representation). If anyone knows Mumbles, near Swansea in South Wales, UK, you'll know where I mean.
Anyway, I made the pier in 3D Studio, TGO'd it and droped it in. The second image has been run through Corel PhotoPaints Auto Correct gizmo (I always do this as a matter of course, just to see what happens. Sometimes it makes the pic look a lot better, most of the time it makes it look horrible though :D ) I think this time it made the pic look ...... interesting. I think there may be something more "realistic" in the sky and lighting in the second one, but I prefer the 1st one as an overall pic.
Anyway, enough of my demented ramblings... C+C always welcome.

I would prefer a mix between the two pictures. The upper one is too red, the lower looks more realistic regarding the sky and sun. Very nice work though!

Congrats! Now it looks really cool! Good work! Do you plan to add some other objects? Ships, boats, reed or something, birds in the sky?
I had thought about maybe a sailing boat? and also a few birds?????
Awesome work Miles I also agree with RealUser the 3rd is by far the best in reality the addition of bird's ,boat's etc will add to an already outstanding render ;)
I love the third image! This is a great setting, composition, point of view, etc. already, and you really did it justice :).

A sailing boat at the pier and some seagulls heading to the sun would look phantastic.

real nice...I like the clouds and atmosphere.....maybe work on water a little and where was haze set to???...increase it by 0.5 or 0.25 and see what happens.....
