Title: Feature Reguest - Cloud Modeling
Post by: sjefen on July 20, 2011, 11:09:55 AM
I just thought that since we now have the ability to use "localise" for the clouds, why not extend the options a little?

So my idea was that if you select localise you would get some more options for the shape. Like for example a sphere, box and so on. Also when you have chosen to use localised cloud there would be another option named "add element" (or something) that let's you add another sphere or whatever you want it to be, manually place them together and build the cloud. In the preview window they could be displayed as shaded so it's easy to place them.

Would something like this be possible?

Regards,
Terje

You can drive the cloud formation using a simple shape shader. I think it would go in between the density fractal and the cloud node. I'd test it, but the program is rendering and memory is low.

Okay, I'm sorry but your avatar is awesome sjefen, haha!!

And I would love to have more options as well, especially for cloud shapes.. I would love a Twist from center warp option because I could make hurricanes with em :P
