A view of the Three Sisters.

Nice! The tree cover is a bit uniform, but that's just minor.
Hi James,
Looks pretty damn close, nice work. For a bit more interest you might want to pull the camera back toward Canmore a little bit and lower down to get some close-up pines in the foreground.
Otakar: As a side note, the tree cover on the actual mountains is very uniform: http://www.google.ca/search?q=three+sisters+canmore&hl=en&biw=1280&bih=908&prmd=ivnscm&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=c0UoTrX4NKTV0QGUsuHsCg&ved=0CG4QsAQ
Thanks for the link, Ryan. Did not know this was a real place. The variation I was suggesting would be in the coloring for just a touch more realism. Found this image to illustrate: http://static.panoramio.com/photos/original/16525744.jpg
I think the lighting is superb / realistic!
Looks good!
Very nice work. Keep it up!
Great lighting and composition, some more variation on the rock surfaces would really set this off.
This is a phenomenal piece of work.
Stunning. I like the massive clean look of the whole image. Did you use a DEM for the sisters?
Thanks all.
Dune - yeah I used a DEM as the base, but it required lots of sculpting to make it resemble the actual three sisters. I found I spent a lot of time dealing with crashing painted shaders before opting for a top down facing camera projected image map to blend displacements. There are still a few things I'd still like to change before I render a larger print size version.
James
excellent view, well done!
