Title: Second mission to Borentuu
Post by: Violoncello on July 23, 2011, 02:42:15 AM
This is really exciting for us. A second probe was on its way as we lost contact from the first.

The second probe landed on a host world also not known to us. After investigation we quickly discovered a 4th moon exhibiting an extremely dark surface and very difficult to observe at long distance.

At first transmission was garbled, but then it cleared up. This is the first clear transmission. We confirm we are in the Borentuu system.

A nice view of the planet and 3 known moons (before discovery of this host world).

Confirmation that the host world is the discovered 4th moon, with orbital mechanics analyzed and documented. The life moon is observed in between the rings of the water world.

The water world is definitely not friendly to earth aquatic life; temperatures have been measured to about 400 degrees Celsius with high pressure atmosphere that maintains a liquid state of the water. Atmosphere is mostly water vapor.

Enjoy :)

Neat. I like the ringed gas giant very much.
