My 2049 World Machine terrain "Ashkelon"

Obelisk (Trent Park) by unknown available at Terragen.org
Positioning the towers was a test of my patience....as you know I have very little. I passed the test with a D-. :)
I tried using the top view camera to view and help position the Obelisks but reverted back to making very small changes in the position numbers.
Is there an easier way to position objects? Please let me know the secret.....
Thanks
Mark
looking real good Mark, some times I have added a single object in a specific (difficult) location by loading it as a population with a very small area....I also restricted the angular position of the populated object to fit my scene requirements...
I hope this helps..

Hi Mark,
Cool image there. Good idea Jason never thought of that. As far as positioning your single objects what I do is just let the preview window render to at least 80%, pause it, point to the area that you want the object placed, right click and copy coordinates. then go to your object settings and paste coordinates to translate in the little clipboard to the right. Then you can do some quick crop renders to check the position. Then you can make fine adjustments by moving the object freehand. If this is what you are looking for, if not just ignore me. ;)
Unfortunately, we got there too late... they're extinct!!!! :) At least they left a testimonial of their existence!!
Very nice image!!!
