I think this will be the last render on this. To get the sunbeams noise down I had to use 32 samples with RT on for the atmosphere. The water is the weird green/blue because of copper sulfide leaching from copper ore deposits. (At least that is what I was trying to do. It's probably the wrong color) The smoky look to the atmosphere is just atmosphere haze. I made the plant objects (all are Walli's) scale quite large to use this haze effect.
I will post the tgd file in the file sharing section. Here is the link to it http://forums.planetside.co.uk/index.php?topic=12915.0
very good light and colours
Great mood! I like this image a lot.
Bien, l'effet de l'eau.
Great water and shore! From what I can see it looks very well done!
This is a real goodie Henry. The light and atmosphere including the plant placement plus the rocks on the surface are excellent.
I love the lover right part the most :)
Nice and thanks for the file , Henry!
Lovely work Henry! Must have been a long sit to render!
Great to see you're adding more details with every work you post :)
I like following your work and progress very much.
Cheers,
Martin
Way to go Henry. This is some of your best work.
Marc
Very nice, Henry. Much better to see it here full sized, rather than with the nasty compression that happens when you posted it earlier to the group.
I personally can't wait 'til you get this new machine and see your renders, you'll make TG2 truly sing!

Or it may end up as late night, drunken karioki in a dive bar.
I will have more time to test render. I am sure the preview window and population seeding will go much faster also. This image took about 40 minutes for the populations to calculate on my P4. I think the render time was 16 hours. I would still be rendering if I had taken this up to 1920x 1080.
Lovely view and diffuse lighting :)
looks fanastic henry, you got the water to look just right imo. :)
the rocks in the water are a nice touch too, :)
Wow this is awesome. Nothing to fix, just make it bigger ;)
wow indeed...this is a winner, big time!
Nice job. I especially like the rockey shoreline and mist.
Keep on man!!!
I'm a bit late responding to this, but let's say I was too struck to find the words.....
I could have copied/pasted my admiration and appreciation of your marvelous render from my Flickr comments. Instead I'll just say "bravo, Henry". Quality work.

It is great to have so many good criticisms from all of you. Everyone here has helped me learn to use this program. By sharing your information so freely, I have a far greater understanding of the hows and whys of creating good scenes.
Now the bar has been raised. I'll have to set up to the challenge. 8)

Ghehe yeah, I expect at least similar quality in your next render Henry ;)
Kidding dude, just have fun and then quality will come by itself.
Wow, very realistic looking!! great job
