first large render with my new 2600k ;) :)
rendertime was less than 2 hrs. with detail .75, GI 2/2, AA 6
nwda stones pack & nwda fantasy clouds.
i have more planned for this one, i'm modeling something for this in sculptris which i will reveal later.
C&C welcome
Great looking render, love the detailed fake stone work. :)
agree with Saurav...looking good!
I am curious where you will be taking this. Right now this is an excellent backdrop.
well it should get more interesting & weird in later iterations ;) could also be doing addition postwork as well.
i like texture painting feature sculptris has but i think max export resolution of 2048x2048 is too small for what i do.
nice if it go up to 4096 or higher.
but i think i found a work-around for that, i downloaded autodesk mudbox recently for its texture painting system and i know it can export larger texture UV maps.
Last time I checked, Scluptris could export 4096x4096 textures, although it's pretty slow (at least on my computer).
hmm... i'll have a look at sculptris again when get home and see what its limits were again.
the sculptris 6 alpha is limited to 2048 texture maps

i reckon it would be hard to take it for a walk, especially when its over 200m tall...
