Hi y'all,
started to play with symmetry again.
First one is a simple 1 axis symmetry just to get back into it. ;)
The second one is a bit more complex symmetrywise.
And the last one.
All are pure TG,no postwork.
Cheerio,J. ;D
very psychedelic J...
very cool!
Thanks.
inkydigit - The last one is where i used the coordinate thing btw.
Awright,here come two more.
These are made from 1 warped simpleshapeshader.
No.2
Same set up,different seed.
I'm not even going to ask, J! I like the mystery and that I can't work out what you've done! One warped sss, indeed! ::) :D
Extremely creative use of TG. Great!
I would like to see you use one of your designs as a land form. Like "geoart" or like how the Inca of peru built large symbols into the ground. You could create your own culture and myths. Tell a story! Real nice stuff :)
dandelO - thanks for that nice comment, definitely made my day! ;D
Actually thaught it was too obvious.
TheBadger - thanks, done that before and maybe will do again, wait and see. ;)
Afaik these lines were done by the Nazca btw.
Very cool - I could see the first image in the Tate Modern....an idea maybe?
Thanks jj.

yeah,maybe...if can you arrange that. ;)
Cool :)
I wish I could.....they paid thousands for a load of bricks...would they appreciate real creativity?
No idea how you've done these but I really like them. More please!
Kadri - danke :)
jj100all4u - oh well
RArcher - thanks Ryan.Of course i can post some more, any preferences?
The next step, still from the SSShader.
One more.
Some slightly different ones.
No.2.
And No.3.
very cool work!
Now a camera fly over ;-)
simply superb stuff!
I have no idea how your doing this.
wtf ? ;D
Thanks guys! ;D
As for how it is done, there are some hints here already. ;) (i can be sooo sadistic)
But if you guys really want to know more i can elaborate on that when i post the
next one.
Since you posted that these were made from 'one warped simple shape shader' I've mused over how you've done this a few times but I've still never managed to get my brain to click and work out even the first clue.
I can normally make a pretty educated guess at how a lot of things are done with TG when I see an image but when you can make me really scratch my head and still I have no idea how it was done in the slightest, I take my hat off to you! Great job! :)
If you warp a simple line by a much displaced fractal, it's a mess, but if you displace/warp it by some blue node maths, I imagine things like this could arise.
They are made from one warped simple shape shader does not mean that there is only
one warped sss and nothing else,it should be read as one warped sss is the feed and
without it you wouldn't see anything.
Look at the image titles for another hint.
The sss is warped by a power fractal.
You (Martin and Ulco) should know the technique,it's very similar to what you have done already,
basically the same i'd say.
Here are the last ones for this thread, most likely.
This has a Power Fractal as the basic feed.

Just for completeness i attach the step pattern we were talking about
over at dandelOs Red Room thread.
This is fed by 2 Simple Shape Shaders.

And the last one. With 1SSS feed again.

In case you want more info about this stuff, just let me know what.
Still want to see a landscape made from these designs!
