Title: Snow Drift
Post by: Vega59 on September 17, 2011, 11:18:34 AM
Hey Guys!!

I'm looking for a little help with my first project here in T2.
I have found a POV I like of a mountain range.
I would now like to add some snow being blown off the top of the ridge towards the left, and then tweak the atmosphere to add impact. I intend to shift the lighting so that the sun is behind the camera, then lower the elevation to emphasize the snow being blow of the top of the mountain to add impact.

My only problem is that being new to T2 I don't have the foggiest idea how to create the snow being blown of the mountain.
I hope that by the end of toady I will have sorted out the texture on the mountain itself. It needs some work as it looks crap at the moment.

Can someone help me create my snow drift?

Cheers

Martin

Your best bet, IMHO, is probably the Functions Tab in the Cloud node.

You can view the tutorial here (http://www.planetside.co.uk/docs/tg2/cloud_function_tutorial.pdf) (make sure you have Adobe Reader) by Martin Huisma

Blackheart!!

Thanks for the heads up on Martin's tutorial. I'll be having a crack at it later this evening. Just downloaded it earlier.

Cheers mate
