Hey Guys
I have just completed a render with the help of dandel0, who sent me one of his Mountain Snow terrains.
I have adjusted the settings to suit myself and would like some feedback on the realism and quality of the render.
My intention is to bring the image into CS5 for some post production blending at a later date.
Thanks for looking
Martin
The image has great potential Vega59 :)
The horizontal FOV is too much.
The snow in some places look a little to much like it has fractal lines. You could try to smooth them a little .
The rocks-ground could maybe have just a little more variety in color . But this is me.
Kadri!
Thank you for your comments! I'm new to T2 I was given some help on this image by another user here on the forum. Allow me to explain some more about this image. I want the snow to have a deep heavy look to it, as if it has never been walked upon. I like the lines in it, it makes it look like the wind has shaped the snow. The rock surface has 3 shaders merged to give the current effect. I will add another to break this up and add some more colour variation.
Kadri, how do i add mist or fog to a scene? Do you know of any tutorials to do such a thing?
Martin
I do not know much about specific tutorials about fog.
You use clouds for this. You can have a look at the file sharing section.
There are many files you can use and learn from.
This one come up withe a search in the forum for example.

By restricting the high and shape of clouds you can use them as you want Martin.
