This might work well with Terragen artists. Hope this is useful.
cool. thanks for sharing calico
this looks like it could be useful.
i almost thought this said "Urban iPad for $29", whoops.
This looks great, and the price is very good. Downloading now.

@zaai - ;D
This might help to see it in action - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IaJoTL4__No
calico: thanks! looks good, i'll have to play with later after i download it. ;)
I signed up too, but a word of caution. Notice that comment on the youtube video site. I downloaded the demo and it wouldn't run on my computer either. There's a long thread on the UrbanPAD support forum with many other users having the same problem.
I suspect they will get it sorted out though. :o
@jaf - Sorry I didn't see that. I can see it start in Task Manager and then disappear. Weird.
BUT, this sounds nice - "ShareI! bonus : Obj & 3ds format export in the next realease of Urban PAD (in a few days)."
I think they will figure it out, though they mentioned they hadn't tested it on a 64 bit machine, which is rather surprising (alarming!)
It would be nice to be able to put some distance cities in a TG scene.
Tested and working on 64 bit w7 & gtx 480, tried on my server too W7 64 & ati 4650
Can't get it to work on my W7 64, but I haven't had time to try some of the fixes. Apparently, a newer version will come out with the fixes...and OBJ export. ;D

FYI - A new version is now available and licenses will start going out today!
Wow. License now costs $79. I will be curious what people come up with who purchased this app. Really liked the now familiar node structure in the preview videos. Still seems fairly complex, though (as you'd expect).
Here's a quick FBX export and imported into LW. Easy, really, though not brilliant.
$79 is better than $700...sorry you missed the earlier sale.

Looks very interesting, but my working machine is always offline, so it's no use for me. Too bad.
Well it doesn't look as well spec'd as CityEngine but at a fraction of the price it still looks a good deal.
Richard
There's inline help, but it would help if you could get some of their video tutorials. Wish I could help...like downloading the videos and uploading to you.

Well, getting the software and videos is not the problem, but getting it working... it needs online validation.
I thought it was just an email process...well, you need to sign an online form. But, then you get a code after that sent to you via an executable as an email attachment. I don't think you need to be live online for that, do you?
That opens possibilities!
