Title: bump map from image
Post by: Oona on October 04, 2011, 11:21:41 AM
Hi all,

I have made a shader:

Surface shader -> [setting: blend by shader -> image map shader01]
Image Map Shader [setting: image file name: c:/cartrack.tif, projection type: PLAN Y (edgesXZ)]
Image Map Shader [setting: image file name: c:/cartrack.tif, projection type: PLAN Y (edgesXZ)]

The position of the Image Map Shader is -60977.6, -1467.45, -101527
In the effect I have set it to Alpha as Opacity.

Now I have a nice (painted) car track on my (fractal 01) terrain.
Now my qeustion. I want depth! Just a centimeter or so. But how to create that?
I tried several settings but I doesn't work out..

Anyone can tell me how to create a bump map? Like in Vue?

Thx

Maybe plug the Image map into the displacement channel of your surface layer.
