Title: By the river
Post by: Jonathan on October 31, 2011, 05:24:33 AM
Hi all,

Another attempt at something simple. This is the first time I have noticed that the XFROG branches on trees are boxy - almost square. Is there any way of improving the detail without having to edit each model in XFROG?

Thanks. J

Good render. The swans are especially nice. I would guess that XFrog modeller has a tool to round the branches out. I don't have it, so I am not sure.

If the trees are object files, import them into your favorite 3D app. They can be subdivided some and rounded using a 3D modeling program.

Thanks for that - I do have Xfrog Full, but am a real novice at using it.....managed to produce the reeds although they aren't brilliant, but are ok from a distance :)

I thought the reeds looked pretty good. The color is a little bright and saturated. Reducing the saturation by half might make them look better. It also depends on how much direct light hits them.
