Title: Realism more easily acheived in TG than TG2?
Post by: Pentagular Dark on November 05, 2011, 06:57:59 PM
I didn't really know where to put this since it concerned both TG and TG2, so excuse me if it's in the wrong place, or if there's already a thread like this.
I was looking at two test renders I did a while ago, one was from TG and the other from TG2. I noticed that a extremely simple scene if it didn't contain random towers, was relatively more realistic then another simple scene in TG2. I attached both of the test renders so you know what I'm talking about.

Not sure what others would think but for me the TG2 test scene looks better.
The TG test scene looks like a classic Terragen 0.9 lighting to me.
Terragen was in the near "Real" ground but TG2 is-can be realistic depending on your scene .

The TG scene took less than 2 minutes to put together before rendering. I'm talking about how easily the realism is achieved even though, yes the TG2 does look more realistic.

This is maybe the most thing people (me included) kind of struggle CatfishEatist.
Terragen was-is in all aspects maybe easier then TG2  ;)
