I concocted an Ichthyostega, one of the first amphibians to crawl onto land, plus some early plants et voila. Took ages to render, due to the RayTraced reflection in the sandy/muddy part, but RT was nicer than non-RT.
Brilliant image!
Love your Ichy creature. The whole scene goes really well together.
Cool render Ulco. How did you make the Ichthystega model?
Lightwave, pulling it out from a box, so to speak.
supeeeerb image!
Great render Ulco :)
nice one, I like the surfacing and details.
MAGIC! :D

i like this one, good surfacing detail, cool objects too,
how long was the render time anyways?
The plants are very good also Ulco. I have never seem them in another render (T2 or other). Nice work modeling them also.
I made them for this render, they're early fern and some other vegetable. Rendertime was about 6 hours while quality was only 0.5 and AA 4. RT reflection is a killer, especially with fine displaced detail.
6 hours isn't that bad imo, i guess it would be if your in more of a hurry.
Really nice, nice modeling also. From my point of view you should consider using a
sculpting software.
What about the sharp line in the upper left region of the water,is that a reflection
or a render error or so?
Yes, I think Lightwave is not so good for animals. I've seen some creatures done by others in Mudbox. That is really something.
The line is the separation between flat water and rising shore (RT reflected).

Ah,i see,thanks.
Take a look at ZBrush!
Something to consider, indeed.
Ulco, that is a fabulous render.....the river mud is simply awesome! :)
I love that mud, it's freaking awesome!
Love your little critter. Reminds me of the days I was super into dinosaurs and other prehistoric things.
