Title: New to Terragen
Post by: Antoine on November 28, 2011, 01:49:30 PM
Hello,

I have just ordered the Terragen 2 bundle from xfrog since holyday sales starts today.
I am new to this software, except the fact that I did use Terragen 12 to 15 years ago while it was in beta form and free.
But the software has greatly improved since that time so I have almost everything  to learn.

I used vue 9 complete but decided not to upgrade to version 10. The reason is that It seems to me that Terragen has a better renderer and with the xfrog bundle plants that comes with it, vegetation appears more realistic mainly from close view.
But it looks very hard to handle for a beginner like me and there are not a lot of documentations about it.

Meanwhile I used free version and I have also bought some grass and rocks presets from NWDA but my question is how to insert the clip file into the node.
It maybe a stupid question but I am totally new to node system.

Thanks also to Oshyan Greene who took the time to answer my questions in details before I bought this product.

Thank you for your help.

I made this example image a while ago for someone else, maybe it'll help you too. :)
