Title: Icy Wilderness
Post by: Kevin F on December 09, 2011, 03:10:10 PM
Been snowing around here just lately and I just couldn't resist another icy scene.
I'd really like others to try this method for ice but I've yet to see anybody else use the file I put up nearly two years ago!
Here's a link to the basic file on the shared area again for anybody that's interested.

It's very nice, is there a way to make for a smooth frozen surface like you'd see in a pond?

Should be possible by adjusting the PF values that feed into the ice layer. Lots of scope for change!
Just give it a go.

I like it!! Ice is a tough material to get looking right in any Renderer, it looks kind of stretched in one axis though. other than that its a beautiful render :D

It does look like wet ice though!
