Post by: Vega59 on December 11, 2011, 01:01:52 PM
Hi Guys

How do you import a castle downloaded from google warehouse.

I have the Babel3d.com converter but dont know what to do with it.

Can some one point me in the right direction?

Cheers

Martin

Convert to OBJ and, if the model is textured, hopefully your conversion app supports material and UV conversion and can output a MTL file.

Did you ever get output from babel3D...tried it myself and .obj resists being created I found. Next time I'm trying to save as .3ds and converting to .obj with PoseRay

I didn't have any trouble. You have to sign in nowadays, go to translate and fill in the blanks. Wait a while and hit refresh now and again. Then download. You get a zip filled with chunks of obj.

Thanks for the encouragement. Got it working for some filed at least.Sadly won't do .dae which was my holy grail. Maybe TD2 will someday handle collada stuff
