Title: Crash on Startup
Post by: ares2101 on December 16, 2011, 07:49:01 PM
My Terragen 2 Deep 64 Bit has started crashing on startup at the splash screen before the actual program comes up.  All Windows 7 tells me is that a problem has caused it to stop working.  I have tried restarting, repairing, uninstalling and reinstalling, all to no avail.

This happened on my old Windows XP setup but worked fine after I upgraded and reinstalled it.  What's going on?  It seems like it just stops working after awhile.

Did an uninstall, registry clean, reset and reinstall, problem has not gone away.  I'm completely out of ideas.

Scratch all that, turns out my video driver was out of date, that fixed it.  I feel so stupid :p

Glad to hear you were able to resolve it. Video driver would have been my suggestion as well. There's really nothing else that changes regularly and would cause a crash with TG2 where other applications were not crashing.
