Nice picture, unfortunately there's no way to get those hexagonal/pentagonal vertical columns.

No doubt you know what you're talking about, TU.  But, could we use objects instead?...sort of a lame way to do it, though.

Looks very similar to the Giants Causway (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giant%27s_Causeway). You could do something with Veronoi but it would be fake (very) and it would not have a regular hexagonal cross-section. Might work at a distance.
Great photo by the way, looks a lovely place to visit, elemental and tranquil.
