Title: first render of the year, Home, but not home

took a break for a while, been playing Skyrim & Deus Ex mostly, just getting back to being creative.
first render of 2012  


objects:
False Cypress (2 variants) - Walli

Pine Trees (22m & 25m) - NWDA / Walli

Nwda wild grass (2 models)

4 hrs+ render time
Detail 0.8
AA 7
GI 2/3

originally 2760 x 1440
over 9gb of ram in use on this one

I would break up the pines and the cypress. They would look better in copses. Maybe paint in a pathway... I do like the lighting.

i will try that henry, copses, but i will probably also make additional different iterations now that i have thought of some more ideas for this...

You definitely need more variation in the trees! Size, species, color, placement. Why not add a PF +transform shader (world) to your color input in the default leaves shader(s)? Raise the main color to white.

will add some false cypress variants later, there are 6 total, another pine, color variations etc, etc,

i had kinda intended it too look something like this, like something out of a vision or dream, but there are always other possibilities for renders.
