Title: Terragen 2 on linux and static library or dso
Post by: otan on December 23, 2006, 08:44:34 PM
Hi,
What about exposing a C/ C++ API of terragen 2, so people can write their own nodes and dso's.
In addition it could be possible to call rays through Mental Ray. We write tons of plugins and shaders here.
I love the node based interface, it is great. A linux version would be highly interesting for us, as
we have a linux renderfarm running with Sun GridEngine. Actually we would like to use it on a feature film
Project.
many greetings

We intend to do this, but various parts of the API are still in flux so I can't give you an ETA yet.

Wouldn't it be nice to just get a native linux version of terragen?
