Title: Morvania
Post by: Henry Blewer on February 10, 2012, 08:59:59 AM
I used Frank Basinski's road and tarmac preset in this one. It's available at NWDA. Also Marc Gebhart's and Walli's trees. Grasses and goldenrod by Walli.

Nice, but a little scary to sit here  ;) This one would be nice to have an animated car speeding around the corner.

One crit; the roadside is a bit straight, you should break it up. I'm sure Frank has inserted some way of doing that...

The light is beautiful in this one. The road looks like its brand new and never been used, maybe a layer of dust or little stones if that's possible? Also the surface of the terrain next to the road is silky, a bit more displacement to suggest moss and tiny weeds would look better IMO.

Looks nice to me Henry. The first think i thought was like Ulco that an animation would be nice :)

I need to figure out the step optimization setting.  ??? These clouds took forever to render.

I did not modify Frank's settings in the tgc. I wanted to see (and play with) the file. There is a curve farther up the road. The golden rods obscured it.

The next project will be a stream using the road setup.
