Title: Crater ville
Post by: nbk2 on February 15, 2012, 06:22:53 PM
First picture with TG2 .. Just to learn the whole thing, just started last Saturday.
There are issues with the plane.

Models by  myself.

Did only partly deal with overlapping populations.

At least no one can say RTFM as there isn't one..  ;D

I think this could be a cool shot, but the distortion makes it hard to look at/understand. I think you will need a ton more detail to get away with a fish eye effect.

Hmm, getting away with what?  :o

It's just a test image. Took some random models and popped them in, used some random textures popped them in etc..

I tried to understand the way the texturing is made in TG, the object population etc, the nodes, the crater, camera

Compared to what I used before, foreground detail is really great in TG and the rendering is fantastic.

Obviously less weirdo models would make it better to understand, if one would go for the standard approach, but given that they are unconventional they are good to understand the limits.

Still got a lot to learn about TG .. so I crack on..
