I think my girlfriend has this, except she has an updated version, w/ selective options
;D
;D
I have a friend who remembers many things that in the last 25 years happened so much different then what it really was.
Someone who doesn't know him would think he lies , but no he really think everything happened as he remembers.
But then maybe i am the one who remembers everything falsely ::) :D
I am a person whom forgets things incorrectly, per situation of course ;D
:D
Thanks Kadri. It's sort of scary that we're messing with our brains and bodies like we do. Chemicals are sort of out of control, in my limited observation.
Kinda reminds me of the old "Kids in the Hall" movie "Brain Candy".

QuoteA pharmaceutical scientist creates a pill that makes people remember their happiest memory,
and although it's successful, it has unfortunate side effects.
Actually modern brain science is starting to show that our memory is not nearly as accurate and indelible as we all think. I wish I had an article link at hand, but if you search around a bit I'm sure you'll find some newer stories on it. Quite fascinating though a bit disturbing when you think about how much of our lives rely on memory! And, at the same time, it makes the arguments over recollection of events and whatnot a lot less surprising and frustrating, so long as you accept the fundamental plasticity of our brain and, therefore, our memories.

The human brain remembers certain things and forgets things for a reason. If it's not important for survival we forget. It's crazy to think we can just somehow manipulate this with chemicals. It's also a ludicrous comparison they make to say that treating someone's mind is the same as treating a broken leg or something like that.
Hmmm...
This sounds like the same drug I heard about from the Sunday TV news magazine "60 minutes". In the report the story followed a woman who was raped and tortured. The story was that her psychiatrist gave her the drug not because it would make her forget, but that it took away the crippling emotional connection to the memory. I think this is the same drug as in this thread.
