I am a newbie. I see in the free TG2 that there is a grass clump to use. How do I find it on the working screen? I imagine it is just out of sight when it imports but surely there is a way to input coordinates to place it in sight. :-)
thanks for the help.
Newly created objects start at xyz=0,0,0 coordinates. To move it to a specific location in your scene, you can right-click the 3D preview window and select 'copy coord's'. Just replace the original 'translate' value in the settings panel(found by either navigating to the 'objects' tab along the top of the program window or, by double clicking the grass clump node in the node network) for your grass clump with the copied values and it will be moved to that location. :)
Thank you very much. I found it. :)
Now another question......budget is limited, so are there free trees, grass, etc. anywhere to be found?

You can look at the file sharing section here on the forum (there are many other useful files).

On Marc's site you can find probably 10 or so free trees

And of course Google .
Thanks every so much. Does anything in obj format work in TG2?

Thanks every so much. Does anything in obj format work in TG2?
Absolutely! I routinely create stuff in Blender then export in .OBJ format to use in TG2. If you use the xFrog program, files are created with an .XFR extention, but then are exportable in .OBJ format for use in TG2. There's a bit of a learning curve - with xfrog it's very common to see plants rendered within TG2 to come out with black squares for leaves, or no texturing at all, or to have white 'blooms' where the leaves should be. And there is a weird bug (at least I think it's a bug) particular to xFrog, where images used for leaf texturing sometimes have to be opened in Microsoft Paint, then saved back to the original file, in order to work properly.
I apologize if I post this image in the wrong place. I would like you to tell me how to make it better. The look I am after is a distant view of fall foliage at a lake. Don't want each and every tree to have to be shown....just an impression. I think I got close, but......
And the darn clouds!! I want cottonball fluffy clouds. After much playing I just can't get it. Settings, please, that might help.
Also I tried to do the "wet shore" thing. Didn't get that to work either. LOL
The water......I liked the classic version settings for water. Can't wrap my head around the look of the water at all.
Thanks for any and all help and for the help I have already been given. It is very much appreciated.

here are some clouds that might fit the bill...
