Title: Water Shadow and lighting issues
Post by: Themodman101 on April 04, 2012, 03:32:08 PM
Hey guys, Im having a lot of shading and shadow issues with my Glacial Lake fantasy scene.

Image is included and so is my TGD

First of all, specular and shadows is not generated based on my rocks. the sunlight is just shining right through :/
How can I fix this issue? its driving me bonkers!

You need to enable "Receive shadows from surfaces" on the Quality tab of the Atmosphere node. Unfortunately this will increase render time and, in your scene, it also has a pretty dramatic effect on the overall look.

Try a quick test crop render with the GI/AO light disabled. I "think" the highlights your seeing on the rock are from the sky, not the sun.
