remain shrouded in mist throughout the day.
Today Cpl. Bentson, the most agile among us, has begun an attempt to find a path down into
the interior of the chasm. Scuttling over the edge near the mysterious object, he made quick early progress
in his descent but it has been some hours since he last answered our shouts .......
