Title: Different color for animated places in the nodes?
Post by: Kadri on April 18, 2012, 01:55:05 PM

If you look at the image here you will see that there is an animation key somewhere in the "density fractal node" but when you open it it is not easy to tell where.  "RMB +Show in animation panel" does it of course now.But wouldn't it be nice to see them in the nodes as slightly different colored buttons and tabs too ?

Values that are keyframed should have their value display colored. I guess in the case of animating things without value displays (e.g. a dropdown), this doesn't work though...

Hi Kadri,

Parameters with text fields show their text in different colours when they're animated. However as you can see parameters without text fields don't give any indication. I suppose one way to do it would be to change the colour of the animation button icon, or add something to the button icon to show an item is animated.

We'll sort something out for the next release.

Regards,

Jo
