Ok, nothing ground breaking it started out as a quick test of the new Lean To Normal option for populations. It's developed from there and although it's got a way to go yet I liked the slightly surreal feel to this version:
This has a strange and epic feel...
I like the leftmost background. Good work ;)
It makes me think of death and dying. Still like it though. Did you make the obelisk? Like the side walk too.

Me too. Looks good :)
Only the texture looks a little small to me.
I like it! perhaps some ivy from ivy maker?

Nice to see you posting again.
Pisa? Hah!
Cheers,J.

Yes I made that obelisk ages ago it was uploaded at Ashundar now terragen.org and a link added in the file sharing section here:

I agree the texture is not that good it's from a poor quality low resolution scan of a photo provided by a friend. If i keep the obelisk in this scene I might paint a replacement.
A couple of people asked me for the .obj version so they could add ivy but the obelisk is big around 36m so I don't think the ivy generator coped very well. there's a version of Ivygen included with Blender so I may give ivy a try.
the grid of paths is a procedural mask used to restrict very small fake stones.
I've not been posting for a while I am finding myself spread pretty thin these days and never seem to have the time for all the things I need to do let alone things i want to do for fun. Blender has been eating most of my available time, loads of half finished projects there as well.
Nice work. Lean To Normal - that will be cool.
creative, imaginative work. I like it! :-)
very nice !!!
strange and unusual :)
