I've added tree objects to my latest picture only to find that they do not produce shadows. The objects were connected to the last shader in the list. I've addressed the area center 'Y' dimension by trying numerous numbers as well as adjusting the distribution shader's altitude and slope constraints to no avail.
I would appreciate any remedy you may have to offer.

What was connected to the last shader... the Terrain shader input for the population? Objects should cast shadows. Can you post a TGD (even without objects)?
Have you check to see if the casts shadows box is checked in the population dialog box? I once inadvertently
unchecked it and lost the shadows. Just a thought. :)
@bigben: Here is the .tgd file. Disregard the number of image map shaders included. Thanks for your input.

You should see 3 faint shadows from your fill lights. Your sunlight has shadows on surfaces turned off ;)

Hi Ben,
I sent Bob an email telling him the same. Also, I noticed the base colors node has image map shaders attached, if you have time, unhook them and see what happens. Very interesting, it changes everything and I think that was one of the problems with the shadows but not 100% sure.
Thanks to you both, Ben and Buzzzzz; I never would have expected the image maps were the culprit. I am anxious to get back working on this image - the one I was about ready to scrap. I appreciate the time you have spent examining my file.
