Title: Heightfield Make River - can't find it anymore in 2.4.31.1
Post by: fleetwood on May 10, 2012, 05:24:57 PM
Likely I'm looking in the wrong place but Heightfield Make River no longer seems  to be available from the popup list of Heightfield operators.

I use it from time to time and was able to work around by cutting and pasting a functioning Heightfield Make River node from an old TGD.
Has this option been moved ?

Hi,

It's been removed. It didn't really work very well and wasn't well supported. Existing projects which use it will still work though.

Regards,

Jo

You can still copy the node from old projects and paste into 2.4 and it will work.

I would be cool if a node which uses either FrankB's or Ulco warped simple shape shader warp/transform could be implemented. It would make things easier for the beginner level user for paths/roads and waterways.

We have plans for something else for those sorts of things.
