Title: Old Fish
Post by: Henry Blewer on May 13, 2012, 09:03:45 AM
There are lots of Marc and Walli's plants in this one. I did the pagoda in Blender some time ago.

A very good render - I like the rocks and the use of the vegetation.

Yes, very pleasant and realistic. Good one, Henry. Perhaps a little (more) translucency in the tree's leaves? And the foreground grass is a bit dark. Although that gives a sense of depth, it is a bit of a large chunk of darkness, IMHO.

I was sorely tempted to add a lamp there. Angling the camera upward would have shown dark tree leaves.

i still can smell the old fish ;D

i like it, especially the cliff displacements in the background.

though the tree in foreground i think could use some displacement on the bark.

Yea, the tree. I was thinking about starting the render over and turning off Raytraced objects. By the time this render reached that point, many hours had gone by. I did not want to stop the render.

Lik the use of a man made structure without the people around. Looks like a geo work in that respect.
Good looking image, and nice POV
