Title: Golden forest at Dawn
Post by: Simius Strabus on May 15, 2012, 09:57:18 AM
I've created a step by step animation on how my Golden Forest at Dawn image was created. I still have to render the final image at 1920x1080...

Very good, I thoroughly enjoyed that :) Why were you "cranking up the shutter time" or are you talking about the camera exposure?
Cheers

Jep, exposure is what I meant to say.  :)

I love the way you've put this together! It's similar to some stuff I've been working on to illustrate TG2's procedural detailing, and this is a great demonstration of how effective this animation technique is. Showing everything "growing" works surprisingly well given how simply implemented it is. Nice one!

Great break down. Would like to see more animations where the terrain is moving like that.

Very well done, Chiel. Animating the size of trees is a great find, and indeed very effective.
