Very nice.  I've been meaning to experiment in this direction myself, I have something from one of Dandelo's public libraries sitting in a folder.

Nice one, Bobby. You should try soft shadows, that might enhance the image.

Thanks Dune....I had considered that but I had an image shader in the stack that was supposed to put a caustic pattern on all the horizontal surfaces that didn't work from underwater like it does from above. I run it thru the Volume Colour and Density Tabs in the water shader which shows well from top down..sigh....
but doesn't show up from this angle....

Nice image, Bobby!
Haven't seen to much of this kind of scene. Is it harder or does it take longer to render, in general terms?

not really harder TB...just took a whole bunch of test renders. IIRC it was under 3 hours render time...I let it run over night and didn't note the actual time in the morning but I sleep in 4 hour bunches so it was less than 4 hours...If you wish, e mail me and I'll send either the project zipped if it's small enuff or put it up on sendSpace and send you a link...bstar@mts.net....any one else is welcome to as well.....
