After far too long not doing any TG work at all I'm trying to get back into the swing of things. What better way than by using Walli's amazing new tree. The render isn't great but the tree is impressive! I've also included a black and white conversion that I thought worked particularly well.
great colors, I actually like tat scene a lot. Looks like sundown just before or a bit after some heavy rains.
An outstanding composition. The surroundings, atmosphere, light and orientation of the tree are right on. I've been working on another scene using this model; and, you've given me some ideas. Thank you both Ryan and Willi.
Both versions are great! Impressive and inspiring work! Thanks for sharing :D
awesome on both renders Ryan!
very inspirational!

Love the light coming through in the foreground! And the clouds look like a photo! Are they a photo composite, or TG? JUst have to make sure some times.
Great use of the wallis new tree. But one negative crit is there seems to be a slight bit of over processing. If thats the right term? The color looks to strong on the tree. just light?
*by the way, I bought your dirt pack a while back and finally used it. It looks great! I'll post an image soon, hope you'll like it.
Cheers.
Beautiful renders. Welcome back. :)

Thanks Oshyan, and thanks everyone for the comments.
@TheBadger Everything is TG including the clouds. Fairly minimal post processing on the colour version, just a curves adjustment really to add some contrast. The light was based on a photograph I took a few weeks ago where there was a pretty scary storm in the distance, but the sun was shining on some hills: Light on the Hills (http://www.archer-designs.com/zp/index.php?album=photography/saskatchewan-road-trip&image=20120615-dsc_0011.jpg)
Hah! I do believe your actual photograph looks more like a render than the render itself. I think it comes quite a bit from that flat area that surrounds the power line tower.

Yeah the render is much better than the photo. I think its just the little bit of highlight on the tree that caught my eye.
i really like the Black and White !
