Title: Pixar's Brave
Post by: Tangled-Universe on July 21, 2012, 01:22:12 PM
Anyone have seen it?

Go see it!
I went this afternoon and I enjoyed it. Yes, the story is about a princess and maybe not that appealing to the average guy, but it's not that bad at all.
What I enjoyed most, of course, is the sublime animation and environments. Damn!
Frikkin' beautiful fluid sims in the river scene with magical lighting and great forests. It's so lush and candy for the eye.
The cloth and hair sims are hair raisingly beautiful too.
That by itself should be inviting enough to go and see it! ;)
Of course there's enough to laugh for the young and the old.

Cheers,
Martin

Yep, I am glad I saw it.  The animation and graphics are phenomenal.  The story was okay...sort of fun, not unlike you said.  The thing that got me was the hair - wow.  Amazing animation.  I would love to understand how they did that.  Speaking of that, didn't someone from this group intern at Pixar?

Old_Blaggard did intern at Pixar. They also have an artist there who does freelance work with Terragen (or at least used to, not sure if he still does). :)
