Title: Mars
Post by: EoinArmstrong on August 13, 2012, 05:38:23 PM
Hiya.

I don't use Terragen as much as I used to, and haven't posted here for a long time... but I found the recent Mars shots very inspiring :)

Anyone got a similar urge?

Hope everyone's keeping well!

Cheers,

Eoin.

Eoin! Ahh, good to see you. I miss seeing your work around here. Nice to see something new. I think you've done a rather good job of imitating the original image, in fact I'd say yours is even a bit more interesting from an abstract perspective. Of course the original is interesting for quite a different reason: it's from another planet! :D

Great to see you again Eoin :)
This is one of the best Mars renders I've seen in a while, maybe if ever.
Definitely more interesting and nicer than the reference, although as Oshyan pointed out the reference is more interesting in another context.
Looking forward to see your next one.

And yes, I also have the urge, definitely now after seeing this!

Very nicely done.  I'm starting to feel an urge to do a Mars shot myself.

An inspiring piece of work Eoin, it is good to see you back. Since I read Ray Bradbury's 'Martian Chronicles' (God rest his soul) while a teenager, I have always hoped that one day I would be around to witness the event when man sets foot on this fascinating planet. With the latest 'Curiosity' venture, I'd say we're getting close.

I love this Eoin, and it is great to see you back!
The atmo settings are perfect, and the landscape, familiar, yet mysterious, simultaneously... very inspirational indeed, thanks for sharing...
I look forward to seeing your next exploration...
