Title: Perfume river run
Post by: Andrew March on August 26, 2012, 12:47:24 AM
Background elements rendered in Terragen, compositing and final render in Lightwave, post work in Photoshop.

A pair of A-7D Corsair II fighter bombers on a low level attack run along the perfume river Vietnam.

Thanks Badger,

I don't have the Terragen Animation version unfortunately, the motion blur in the background image was created post in Photoshop. I will animate these birds, I always do but I will post a link in the GD Forum rather than here seeing as none of the work would be in Terragen.

Thanks again

The image looks good Andrew!
I do not know the others...There were some emotional reaction on my side because of this sentence:
"A pair of A-7D Corsair II fighter bombers on a low level attack run along the perfume river Vietnam."
This kept me from posting in some way .

Do you made the plane objects Andrew?

The aircraft are commercial products. My rule is usually if I pay for it I don't put credits on the pictures I make with it.

Would you mind expanding on the reason why you did not post?

They are Vought A-7 Corsair IIs.  (the company I work for has that name still...) Nicely done too, though TG2tends to lend a Revell Model quality to them.

Andrew basically said , saying that it looks good was in a way odd to me because of what it was about.
If you did not put that line in your post it would be more kinda general image and had not the emotional impact to me.
I remember still those kids running from their town in terror in Vietnam from those years.

My father did not know much German and in my childhood i had to translate every day at the News what they said to my father .
I think from 7-8 years to my 13's i always knew what was going on in the world of the news.
So i saw all those images every night.
Just an emotional response nothing more , Andrew .

Rich, the models are rendered in Lightwave and yes I know they are Vought Corsairs :)

Kadri, I understand what you are saying but the image itself is evocative of enough emotion to negate anything the title might convey.
