In case you haven't noticed it already, a Painted Shader Guide has been added to the documentation wiki. It goes into some detail about how the Painted shader works, what you can do with it and how to get the most out of it. There also some example projects demonstrating different ways of using it.

Now this is the detail level we need for the documentation. Just had a glance over it and will read it all later but with all the examples it really looks like it does a great job of explaining what that node does.
We just need it for some other nodes now, my vote is for SSS next ;D
