A good start anyway! Three suggestions:
1. add more undergrowth
2. Fully cover the mountain peaks with snow (angle 60, fuzzy zone 30, flatten the surface layer, and use the snow shader somewhere in the forum)
3. Perhaps some (or a lot) of boulders along the shore, or a zone of reeds/grass (the internal grass with high stems will do nicely, I think)

^^Yep.

For sure get the shore line looking more aged. As it is now, it looks like a flood. That is, it looks like that water in not normally there. And has just filled in what is normally a park or something. Actually its quite pretty this way.
In this case why not do a overhang?

Something like this:

Th scale seems off. The Trees could be 3-5 times and maybe more smaller.

Is it just me or is the colour of the trees too intense? Otherwise, I join in with the others on possible tweaks.

I'd add some of the colour of the leaves to the ground beneath the trees.

How about some evergreens interspersed with the existing trees too? Not too many though

A lot of good suggestions here. In all, you have a good project going and look forward to your next iteration.

I think it could also possibly do with some stones here and there (maybe a couple that come up through the surface of the water)  ;)

Made some changes..................

This is a huge improvement. There's one thing that bothers me, somehow; the distant peaks seem 'toylike', if you know what I'm getting at. Perhaps you could try a denser atmosphere to push them to the distance, or set the minimum  height of the snow higher, or/and use the erosion fractal to erode them. Maybe softer hills (with some snow on tops) would be just as nice, or nicer. Some billowed fractal with high variation perhaps. Grassy with rocky outcrops. Just suggestions, mind you.

And again..................

Great! Now (I'll keep you working  ;)) how about a small rocky island in front to break the expanse of water and give it some real depth. Or a grassy island with some rocks at water's edge and full of grass and a few shrub.

Super! This gives a lot more depth. Nice place to put an abandoned rowboat  ;)

Feels really nice. The only thing is the background is still too close for the scale.

This is final unless anyone has any more suggestions.
