Is there a way I'm missing out on for populating a 2nd planet? I've managed clouds and atom pretty well so far but no luck adding a pop....
You need to specify the 2nd planet in the Terrain tab of the Population node. There is a field to specify the Planet for population to sit on. Note that you still need to change the position of the population to be correct in relation to the 2nd planet.

did all that and best I could get was it sitting on top not conforming, tried some other stuff and made it crash or I'd have uploaded a .tgd.
Will save my next attempt as everything I've done seems correct procedure
I forgot that new planets don't come in with a Compute Terrain. You'll need to add one after the Power Fractal that feeds into the Planet's Shader input (inside the internal network of the second Planet). Then you specify that Compute Terrain in the field for "Sit on Terrain" in the population, along with of course also specifying that 2nd planet in the Planet field. Tested and working here.

Well, it seems to be working without the compute terrain but I'll stop the pop and do that, populating a planet as we speak. I did it exactly the sme way and this time it works, Thanks for reassuring me I was doing it correctly and had a glitch somewhere...maybe PICNIC...hee hee hee
When you say "populating the planet", I hope you're not trying to make a really huge population, like, one that would be visible from space... That might explain your previous crash, if it was memory-related.
