Post by: Dune on December 09, 2012, 03:28:04 AM
I needed some new heath shrubs, so I made a little testscape.

Good lord, in the foreground those are looking mighty photo realistic! Well done.

Now those are realistic, models or billboards?

Excellent constructions. Those were made in xFrog?

wow.  :)

i very much like and am impressed with every part of this image, except for the spot just beyond the foreground at the bottom of the hill where some ground is exposed looks a little unrealistic compared with everything thing else in the image.

I like this place. The view presents some mystery, giving the feeling of drawing you forward to find out
where the path leads. Perhaps the sea lies over that next hill.

Thanks guys. Yes, they are made in XFrog (model, but with heather branch images as leaves), and I agree with Z39 about the sandy spot (the white to exclude shrub wasn't white enough in that mask, it needs another color adjust).

Any chance of putting the heather up perhaps in NWDA for sale?

I'll do better than that. Since I won't be available to participate in the webinar sessions of Paul Bussey due to personal circumstances (hard time, right now), I'll fix a small package of some heather shrub and put them up at NWDA for free. A small Christmas gift, if you will. Give me a little time....

Thanks so much Dune very generous. I missed the original posting and agree it's a really high quality model and your scene is excellent. Merry Xmas.
