Title: Somewhere out West
Post by: choronr on January 04, 2013, 04:36:50 PM
Somewhere West is a revised point of view made from my previous image. The elements used are the following clip files that can be downloaded at the Planetside forum:

•   Lakes and small mountains .tgc clip file by 'Goms'
•   Simple Camouflage Surface (color variation) .tgc clip file by 'FrankB'.
•   Fake Stones .tgc clip file by 'dandelO'.
•   PGS Evolution V2 (procedural grass) .tgc clip file by 'dandelO'.

The remaining vegetation population is provided by 'New World Digital Art' (NWDA); specifically, 'Dry Shrubs' by 'Walli' - #8 variety was used with the default diffuse color for the leaves being set at maximum making them brighter; and,  #10 with the same type of adjustment.  Also used is Walli's 'Chamaecyparis' conifer and his 'Purple Deadnettle' which are available at his site: 'Silva 3D'.

The clouds are a variation of that created by dandelO and are also available at Planetside.

If you would like to download the .tgd file and a reference for downloading the World Machine file used here, go to: http://www.planetside.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=15421.0 . Many pleasant points of view can be attained.

Enjoy.

This looks pretty good. A little too boring on the far plane perhaps.

Nice work - that's a powerful .tgd you have there.
