Title: Terragen 2 Possibilities
Post by: Gman on January 09, 2013, 04:42:57 PM
Hello,

I am brand new to this forum, and I have a very general question about Terragen 2.
How well can 3d models from Blender 3d or Zbrush be imported into Terragen 2?
The reason I ask this question is I have heard that compositing between 3d modeling and landscape generator software does not always go well.  My first love is static model building (mostly architectural models) and would love to find a way to combine pictures of my static models with CG landscapes, but have been told that 3d models would give better results.  So I have been learning Blender 3d in effort to reproduce my static models then hoping to use them with a landscape gernerator like Terragen 2.

Thanks
Griff

YES! :)
just export your objects from Blender/Zbrush as OBJ objects, terragen 2 supports the .Obj format

then import your objects as .obj's in TG2
