.... and it had all the beers of the world on tap, which one would you recommend me to try and why?
Schlenkerla Rauchbier (dark smoked beer) from Bamberg, Germany. It's absolutely unique, tasty and you'll hate the first one.
RUM
;D
ok, I guess a Rum in between the beers is acceptable! ;-)
Next time you visit me Frank I'll take you to a Belgium Beer bar here.
As you may know Belgium beers have a unique rich taste and they're not bitter.
As long as it is beer or real ale and not that light fizzy larger stuff ;)
I can only stomach larger if the weather is seriously HOT!
good question!
anything from this brewery:

hardcore ipa always makes me smile!
:)
of course the planetside bar would also have to have computers for TG, Dual Xeon CPU Render farm/nodes located near the bar counter, Mac / PC computers for by the tables for ppl to work on their scenes.
Well, I don't know your particular taste. I'd say one beer I think everyone has to try if possible, because it's so very unique and also delicious, is "Campfire Stout": http://www.highwaterbrewing.com/campfirestout.php
It tastes like you're eating s'mores, but with beer. It is remarkable if only for how well it balances these unique and unusual flavors.

Marshmallow flavor??? :o :o
OK, I just googled "s'mores". Beer with cookie flavor. Hmmm...
It's definitely a "different" experience, but in a good way. Both of the two people I was with who tried it, both of them beer lovers (and one a rabid IPA/hops fan), said it was delicious, and one of the best beers they had tried that day (at a beer festival where we each had probably 30-40 samples). So... perhaps that answers your skepticism a bit? ;)
- Oshyan
Of course I would give it a try. It just sounds crazy!
That's a tough one. I'd say Bernard (http://www.bernard.cz/en/story/brewery.shtml). I prefer dark. Once you taste it, you can't stop :)
I've tried some of these "Chocolaty" beers and they're odd. At first you don't taste the chocolate, then you get it on the after taste, then it's kinda, "that's odd, don't think I like that", then you order another one. :)
baaah, go away with these "abominations" in disguise of beers ;-)
Let's draw a line: this side of the line - inside the Terragen Bar - , there are only beers exclusively made of ingredients that belong to a traditional beer. The other side of the line are beers that have been tampered with and polluted with things like chocolate taste. They live outside of the Terragen Bar, among zombies.
:D
Only in Scotland! Armageddon! (http://laughingsquid.com/armageddon-the-worlds-strongest-beer/) :o
Then a nice Amber Ale, or a crisp, unfiltered (American) Wheat for me. I like the occasional Belgian, but there's often an underlying "funk" that doesn't go with my desires for e.g. a wheat beer...
- Oshyan
Try a honey wheat beer and an oatmeal cookie (chewy soft, no raisins) at the same time. Now your in snack heaven.
Also try greek pepperoncinis while having a simple budweiser. YEAH, I SAID IT!
Hey, whats the difference between a wine snob and a beer snob? Wine snobs usually drive nicer cars. :P :P :P
;) :)
Ghehe Michael, there might be some truth to that :P
lol, yeah. But I'm still only teasing a little ;D No one should be angry with me, I like good beer too :)
I'll go with 'Moose Drool Ale'. Go here: http://www.bigskybrew.com/Our%20Beer .
