Title: Onlookers
Post by: fleetwood on February 05, 2013, 01:15:54 PM
Who knew ?  Apparently that prehistoric structure on Zebulon was some kind of containment chamber.

Chamber is a Terragen sphere object with a couple craters modifying it and displacements from a gradient type image in cylindrical projection.

Sasha model from Artec 3D Scans.

I like it a lot too. Has a lot of nice lighting.
Having said that I feel unable to stop my self from pointing out that it looks like an engorged clitoris and related bits.
If thats intensional its the best render of the year. If not, I never believed in freud's theories anyway.

Badger - That wasn't quite my intent but at some point everything is just a Rorschach test anyway.

Here is another experiment in sphere displacement and texturing that produced the Floating Father of All Pears.

Nice shader Fleetwood!

I would try to add some more fine details in the foreground in the first image to make the scale more apparent.
