Title: How do I use BackBurner for my render farm?
Post by: Asthenia on February 25, 2013, 06:33:27 PM
I am have a hard time finding the right software so I can use my render farm with Terragen. I don't want to pay any money. But since I already have 3Ds max I have backburner. But the question is how do i utilize it to render across my render farm?

I'd be surprised if you can render TG files with backburner, as far as I know it is primarily or even exclusively for use with Autodesk products.

With Terragen 2 you have the option to set up 3 (Terragen 2) or 5 (Terragen 2 with Animation) render nodes.

I would imagine that if your render farm is extensive, then you would need to talk to the nice chaps Planetside about licencing further nodes.

Hope this helps

Chris

Please do a search for "Backburner" on the forums here. There are several threads with potentially relevant information, e.g.:
