Hi Guys
How about we have a job section, where we can post jobs hire artists from the community who are interested in doing work for games or films?
Cheers.
Usually we like to create sections based on demand, and unfortunately we just haven't had a ton of job postings here. There could be something of a chicken-and-egg issue there though, with no place to explicitly post job offers. We do have some future plans for the website which might better accommodate job postings in particular.
Everyone feel free to comment, particularly those who might *post* jobs (I would not be surprised to see support from job *seekers* for such an area, but we need job *posters* to provide the content). If there's enough support for this, we can make it happen. But our long-term solution on the main site will probably be better.

I remember you once had a thread/section related to jobs... but where has it gone?
Perhaps you're thinking of this? http://www.planetside.co.uk/forums/index.php/topic,12792.0.html
We could make that a sticky in the main forum area somewhere, that could be sensible until we have the other systems in place.

Yep, that's it. Good idea.
The OP is not the first to ask for a Jobs section I seem to remember asking for some thing similar some years back, and was given pretty much some response. However requests have gone up for Terragen artists since then, being able to post somewhere dedicated would be useful, without such posts getting lost in the noise of the multitude of other posts that get posted here; even if its one or a couple every once in a while.
Every little helps and may even lift the perception of Terragen 2 as a professional tool, in the seance that the developers E.g. Planetside care enough to do so even if the post count is comparatively small in comparison with the other forums here. There is that old adage that says it is better to have a thing and not need it, then need a thing and not have it!
Regards to you.

I think this is a very valid and good argument.
