Title: smileys and quotes?
Post by: Dune on March 27, 2013, 03:32:43 AM
What happened to the smileys and quote buttons? I can't see them anymore if I start or reply to a post ( a sad smiley was intended here).

And if I open an image it's opened on a next page, so I have to hit return. It used to open in a new (floating) window.

Looks like you have the WYSIWYG editor turned off somehow/for some reason. Also, are you using a translated interface? Go to your Profile/Account settings, you should be able to change these settings...

Another issue I have recently is that when I break up a sentence or paragraph with an Enter and then decide to undo that by pressing Del at the end of the previous sentence...Then the line below shifts up, as expected, but the font size becomes smaller.

Anyone else has this too?

YES! Also the internal link thing I reported is back. But I did not bring any of this up again cause I thought it was just me.

It's a mystery to me, nothing has changed here. Only thing I can think of is browser updates breaking some things perhaps. What web browsers are you guys using?

OK. Uses Webkit, same renderer as Safari, so could be related. Anyone else having problems?

Of course, I use Chrome too...

Does the editor look different to you guys? I believe it may be defaulting to the WYSIWYG editor now, which it may not have been before. That might be making it easier to accidentally get small text or something. But if it doesn't look different, I really don't know what's going on.

Yes, it is the WYSIWYG editor, and I think it was the plain text editor until recently.

Ah, ok. Should I change it back? It seemed like the WYSIWYG would be nicer, hehe. You can change it personally in your profile settings, too...

Fixed :)

Thanks for the tip. Prefer it without the WYSIWYG, that's what the preview button is for :)
Also now the spell checker works again.
Cheers

JHFOISHOIHOFIHOISHOFIL I have disabled the WYSIWYG editor and the issue is....
duihfosuhodhofihdfosh

Copy and pasting appears to still produce issues

For example, I have no idea why ", " are showing in the post.

Wait! Thought that you already did. I'll turn it off on my end and see if it fixes things for me, then you can keep it for the people that it works for. Sorry I did not read that correctly.

It seems to not work or not be preferred by a majority, and it can still be used even when off by default. So I think this is best.
